Cetrimonium Chloride (CTAC, CAS 112-02-7) is a high-efficiency quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant, appearing as white to pale yellow paste or solid, soluble in hot water and ethanol. As a classic hair conditioning agent, it strongly adsorbs onto negatively charged hair cuticles, delivering excellent antistatic, softening, smoothing and detangling effects. It is widely used in cosmetics (conditioners, shampoos, hair masks, color creams) and industrial applications (fabric softeners, asphalt emulsifiers).
